2011-2012 AP Psychology Students

June 13, 2011

Hello everyone,

We hope all of you are finishing up the school year strong and beginning to enjoy the start of your summer.   Here is a copy of the letter that you hopefully picked up from the Magnet Office, Mr. Guillet or Mr. Reilly pertaining to taking AP Psychology next school year AP Psych Intro Letter .  Please check out the site, especially the Chapter Outlines and PowerPoints listed under the Blogroll on the right side of this page.  Please look over the AP Syllabus and the AP Course Description.  Also, look over all of the material listed under the area titled AP Exam Preparation.  After reading through the syllabus and course description, please attempt to do the 2009 AP Practice Test. (Obviously, it will be a little difficult, but we want you to have an idea of what types of things you will be responsible for learning this year).
You are responsible for reading the items listed above as well as the Chapter 1 and 2 Outlines. You will be tested on these 2 Introductory Chapter Outlines upon your return to school in late August.  If you are interested in getting some Extra Credit before the school year starts, you can do an Article Analysis (we will be doing several during the year). Choose a topic in Psychology that you are interested in and find an article related to that topic. We recommend using one of the links listed under Psychology Article links on this page. Here is the Rubric for the Article Analysis.  If you have any questions about this work or the class in general, please feel free to email either of us.  We want you to enjoy your summer,(so don’t stress over this work), but we do want you to be prepared for what will sure to be a challenging but very rewarding class for you.

Have a safe and enjoyable summer,

Mr. and Mrs. Graf
